"Education Against Malaria" ahead of the Malaria Walk will entail use of Malaria Tool Kit for Primary Schools and secondary schools as earlier unveiled by the Vice President of Novartis Pharmaceuticals from the U.S.A. together with Mama Sarah Obama and GAMI. The school will pioneer the project as Malaria Peer Educators in Primary through Secondary to University Level as "MALARIA CHAMPIONS" with the theme "Malaria-Education is the Key."

The Tom Mboya Generation has joined Mama Sarah Obama in this quest where an estimated 3,000 will join the Grandmothers on November 25th 2012, led by Mama Sarah Obama in the  malaria walk whose lead partnership is United States International University (USIU), supported by Makini Schools, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Chavakali High School, Tom Mboya Secondary School, Baraton University, among others. Grandmothers Against Malaria Initiative will sponsor Malaria Champions from Primary Schools to Secondary Schools and eventually to the Universities within a campaign theme dubbed education against malaria, education flight being an ideal of the Late Tom Mboya. The Primary Schools shortlisted to benefit in this project are Kibaga, Riara, Moi Educational Centre and Garden Estate Primary Schools.

The Principal of Chavakali Highschool Indimuli Kahi Alfred leads the school and staff in supporting the Malaria Campaign which will see the school be one of the beneficiaries of scholarships under "Education Against Malaria".

GAMI President Dr. Tom Mboya Owino donates mosquito nets to Garden Estate Primary School. The Donation is part of the GAMI & USIU walk 2012 event. Prof. Freida Brown, USIU Vice Chancellor uplauds and supports the initiative.
