About Us

Grandmothers Against Malaria Initiative (GAMI) is a non-governmental not for profit organization duly registered under the NGOs Act, 1990. GAMI raises public awareness of malaria as one of the major poverty-related diseases and cause of death in Kenya.
We mobilize respective support for increased political, financial and strategic commitments of Kenya goverment in order to achieve the malaria-related Millennium Development Goals. Our work is based on strong partnership  between the  government and other stakeholders cooperating in the field of awareness raising, advocacy and networking for malaria. We provide for an effective exchange of knowledge, experiences as well best practices in the field of malaria control.


Our Vision

The mission of GAMI is to provide advocacy, capacity strengthening and networking that supports the equitable realization and sustainability  of internationally set goals including Millennium Development Goals 4,5,6 and 8 in Kenya through collaborative efforts of malaria interventions in the Lakeside City especially in Kogelo, Kobiero (Rachuonyo) and Ugenya
